Since 2014, Nash NZ has helped New Zealand manufacturers improve throughput, reduce manual handling and get more out of the floor space they already have.
We work in two ways. As an engineering design partner, supporting your team with drafting and mechanical design at an hourly rate. And as a turnkey machinery supplier, taking a capital project from first concept through to a running line on a single price.
Whichever way we work with you, the same engineers are involved from the first site visit to handover.

Challenge
A pooling operator needed to lift throughput on a repair line without extending the building or adding a shift. Incoming pallets varied widely in condition, so any solution had to route good, repairable and scrap pallets separately without an operator walking each one to its destination.
Solution
We designed the line around the customer’s floor plan and damage profile rather than around a standard machine. Repair positions were presented at working height in the order the work actually happens, with sorting and diverting handled by the machine so operators stay on the repairs. The line was proven at 600 pallets per hour at factory acceptance test before it shipped.

Design services
Engineering design and drafting
We provide mechanical design and drafting support to manufacturers and machine builders across New Zealand, working to your standards and in your file formats. You retain the intellectual property.

Services include conceptual design, mechanical design and drafting, design for manufacture, and project engineering through to a running machine.

Turnkey supply
One partner, one price, one point of contact
For capital projects we manage the whole process, so you deal with one supplier rather than a factory, a fabricator, a freight forwarder and a customs broker.
We complete the concept and solution design in-house, then purchase the equipment directly from the manufacturer and carry freight and insurance within our price. You receive a single lump sum in New Zealand dollars.
Included
Concept and solution design, equipment supply, freight and clearance, mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, operator and maintenance training, documentation, 12-month warranty.
Excluded
Building work, foundations, power to the machine, compressed air — anything forming part of your site rather than the machine. A full exclusions list is provided before contract.

Because every pallet handling project is different, these systems are designed from your requirements rather than selected from a catalogue.

Method
Our project process
- Site visit. We assess your product, throughput, shifts, floor space and operator positions on site.
- Concept. A layout and scope of supply in plain language, suitable for board approval.
- Fixed price. A single price, one contract and a clear list of exclusions.
- Solution design. Developed with the manufacturer to suit your product and required rate.
- Factory acceptance test. The rate is proven at the factory before dispatch. Customers are welcome to attend.
- Shipping and clearance. Managed by us, within our price.
- Installation and commissioning. Planned around your shutdown window.
- Training and handover. Operator and maintenance training on your machine, with your product, plus manuals and spares list.
This process can vary depending on the project.

Warranty
Support that continues after handover
Our machinery is covered by a 12-month parts warranty from commissioning. Replacement parts are supplied at no charge; the labour to fit them is the customer’s cost.
Where a failure traces back to the design rather than a component, we work through it with you directly rather than relying on the parts-only clause.
Spare parts, service and support continue well beyond the warranty period, from Auckland.
